Ruthie Davis Spring/Summer 2010: Future Barbie

I've been back and forth to Italy working on my new Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.  I wanted to share with you my themes and ideas for the season.  I'm feeling very "Malibu Barbie" and sort of girly in a softer, more minimal way with graded colors and shades of baby blue, pink and sand.  However, I always have to have an edge, hence what I call Mac's "Good-bye Kitty" - she is a little James Bond Kitty.  I wish I could share a few shoes sketches with you but that would be too risky as they are "top secret" visual information....xoxo

Beyonce on Letterman Tonight in my Odyssey...

Here she is going to tape the Letterman Show.  I just watched it and she looked amazing!!!!!  There was a nice close up of my shoes as she was walking onto the set to greet Letterman.....love her!!

Lady GaGa is loving my clear "POP" stilettos:

Lady GaGa is crazy for my POP shoes.  She has worn them 3 times already in the past few days.  Here she is on a talk show in the UK and performing in them....love her!!  xx

I HEART GRAFFITI ART

I am in Italy working on my new Spring 2010 Collection.  I had the most amazing day today.  It's a holiday today in Italy and it was warm and sunny. After working on my designs in the morning, I walked all over the city of Bologna taking pictures of the graffiti art.  I am so in love with graffiti and the colors are beyond.  Here are some of my favorites.  xoxo

MY MUSE

Every designer has her "muse".  It's the person you have in your mind wearing your the shoes you design.  Mine is Eva Kant and I am in love with this shot of her with her man, Diabolik.  She is wearing an awesome romper and I would love her to be wearing my Jetson bootie.  I'm so an Eva wanna be as I just got my hair trimmed and highlighted oh so Eva Kant.  A girl's got to dream....xoxo
