VOGUE ITALIA!

As many of you know, I recently made a trip to Italy to check up on the shoes and visit my showroom. On the way back to NYC, I picked up an issue of Italian Vogue to read. As I flipped through the pages.... BAM!! There she was, my S/S 11 "Gallery" handbag, in the midst of the Punk-Rock Trend article! So stoked! Happy Friday!!

Last week, model Hilary Rhoda wore my F/W 2011 "Implant" pumps to the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models on Location Party! She looks beautiful in her beautiful shoes!

When people think of Italy, they often think of a country in which people are laid back and enjoying long lingering meals of pasta -- the complete opposite of life in NYC. On the contrary, when I make business trips to Milan, my team and I usually work as late as 10PM. On my way home, I'll grab a slice of pizza and raid the minibar for a mini bottle of red wine. Sounds more like living in NYC, doesnt it? I'm back in my "orange" room now, kicking back with my pizza and mini wine watching Malin Ackerman in "The Watchmen"... in Italian! It makes the visuals so much more intense. Once this is over, I'll finally call it a night. Ciao ciao!

One of my favorite parts of being a shoe designer is seeing my creation come to life! This is NO assembly line -- I present to you individually handcrafted goodness from Italy!! So pumped! [No pun intended...!]

I love all things mini -- including minidresses! When I saw JLo in her silvery mirrored Pucci dress, I thought she resembled my SS '11 "Spikette" pumps! After all these years, Jenny from the block still dazzles the red carpet!

CIAO FROM ITALY!

I'm in Italy to kick off the FW 2010 sales campaign at my Milan showroom and thought I should share a few things with you today! First off, it's a chilly 41°F, so I had to bundle up! I am wearing my Ruthie Davis FW '10 "Dark" booties, along with my beloved Moncler ski jacket, J Brand Jeans, and bullet necklace. Notice the cool room you see in the background? That's my amazing futuristic hotel room in Milan! It's called the "orange" room. How very appropriate ;)

So on Sunday, Miss RiRi showed up at the Grammys in that risque Jean Paul Gaultier dress -- can you say fab-u-lous with me here?? She was bold and daring, yet at the same time so elegant, just like my SS '11 "Future" pumps in white / silver :)

Chelsea Handler, of E!'s Chelsea Lately, seems to be loving my F/W '10 "Vamp" pump! Here she is wearing them again on her show while interviewing Justin Bieber!

It makes me so happy to see girls wear my shoes multiple times :)

So, who watched the Grammys last night?!?! I couldn't help but think of my S/S '11 "Modern" heel when i saw the adorable Janelle Monae in her glittery James Brown inspired get up! What a talented young lady :)

FUTURE IN ACTION

Black tie winter wedding at the Yale Club in NYC - what better shoes to wear than my 6" Future pumps? I paired them with my new "Bolt" clutch, American Apparel tights, Elizabeth and James feather trim mini dress, Gucci watch, Trina Turk ring and Essie's new blue nailpolish. Oh and my two "Mad Men"-esque friends Joseph and Laurence are another great accessory.

EDGE IN ACTION

It was a cold day out in NYC, so what better shoe to wear than my Fall / Winter 201 "Edge" bootie? With those babies, I wore American Apparel glitter tights, Theory leather shorts, Freelock watch (with rosegold! hello, inspiration!) Dolce & Gabanna bustier, and Barneys co-op cardigan.
